Currently the university is offering over 40 programs in three locations and has a student population of 3700.
Sarah’s role as the Children’s Ministries Coordinator for the Africa East Field (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Horn of Africa) has blossomed over the years and with her ministry team she travels across East Africa helping church leaders develop effective children’s ministries. Sarah is also serving as a Children’s Sunday School Literature Editor for the Africa Region. Sarah has developed a Children’s Membership Curriculum entitled, My Church!, for the Africa Region.
Sarah and Rod have three daughters: Rebecca is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University with a Communications Degree and is serving with Strategic Applications International in Kenya. Katie also graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a degree in Social Work and is working as a program manager for a youth alcohol and substance abuse prevention program for two counties in Illinois. Hannah has just graduated from West Nairobi High School in Kenya and will begin as a freshman at Olivet Nazarene University in the Fall of 2017.
Rod and Sarah share their testimony as follows, “God is doing some amazing things in Africa today and we are so blessed to be part of it. We are honored to work with and teach some of the most wonderful people on this earth. Yet, there are major challenges here that cry out for solutions that only God can provide. We are honored to be given a chance to be part of God’s solution. We cannot think of any other way we would rather invest our lives than in what we are doing.”
