Ronald and Rachelle Miller - Africa Reg Office

Ronald:  Ronald was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, attending and receiving Christ in the Nazarene Church as a young man. Before entering the Nazarene Bible College to study to become a pastor, Ronald spent 3 years travelling full time with a Nazarene Impact Team of young people all over southern Africa. After travelling full-time for the 3 years, he entered Nazarene Theological College in Johannesburg, South Africa, and studied for his degree in theology while also working at the Africa Regional Office.

Shelly:  Shelly is an American and was born and raised around the Midwest. As a 4th generation Nazarene, she gave her life to Christ at a very young age in a Nazarene church in Iowa. Shelly spent most of her life on the Northeast Indiana District. She attended and graduated from Olivet Nazarene University studying English and History, but always with an “itch” for missions. After graduation, Shelly left the US to spend time in Johannesburg, South Africa, at the Africa Regional Office as a NIVS (now called Mission Corps volunteer).

Together: After Ronald completed Bible College in Johannesburg, South, Africa, and Shelly completed 4 years as a volunteer missionary at the Africa Regional Office in Johannesburg, they were married and then began full-time pastoral ministry in Durban, South Africa. For 6 years they pastored 2 different churches in the Durban area until they were called to be Missionaries with the Africa Region Church of the Nazarene in April 2010 as African Specialized Assignment Missionaries. In their short time with missions, they have had the opportunity to minister in both Swaziland, helping with the establishment of Southern Africa Nazarene University (SANU), and now in Antananarivo, Madagascar, heading up Nazarene Compassionate Ministries for the country, but also overseeing the growth and work of the church as Mission Coordinators in Madagascar. The people of Madagascar are energetic, willing and anxious to grow the church in every way, which involves a well-organized Street Kids Center that educates and feeds 350 children every day. The Millers have three children: Abigail, 6, Malachi, 4 and Elijah who was just born in February 2012 (3 months at the writing of this).
