In Memoriam: 8 June 2018

The following is a weekly listing of Nazarene ministers and leaders who recently went home to be with the Lord. Notices were received 4-8 June 2018.

Neil Allenbrand, 63, of Penticton, British Columbia, passed away 30 May. He was the lead pastor at Penticton Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Heather Allenbrand. (story)

David Canen, 80, of East Dublin, Georgia, passed away 1 June. He was a retired minister and evangelist, serving in Indiana, Texas, Michigan, Georgia, and Florida. He is survived by his wife, Vera Canen.

Barbara Chaney-Scaia, 86, of Midlothian, Virginia, passed away 30 May. She was preceded in death by her first husband, retired minister, evangelist, and district superintendent Reeford Chaney, who led the Alabama District and served in Tennesee, North Carolina, Hawaii, Alabama, and Virginia. Reeford Chaney passed away in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Albert Scaia, in 2016.

Audrey Davis, 90, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away 6 June. She was a retired minister, who served in Ohio.

Jonathan Hoagland, 55, of Grover Hill, Ohio, passed away 6 June. He was a retired minister, serving in Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hoagland.

Mary Pratt, 89, of Cataula, Georgia, passed away 2 June. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired minister Carl Pratt Sr., who served in Missouri, Kansas, Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Georgia. Carl Pratt Sr. passed away in 2004.

Lawrence Dewayne Price, 80, of Missoula, Montana, passed away 28 May. He was a retired minister, serving in California, Colorado, Washington, Idaho, Montona, and Wyoming. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Price. 

Linda Taylor, 81, of Spokane, Washington, passed away 5 June. She was preceded in death by her husband, retired minister and evangelist Clifford E. Taylor, who served in California and Washington. Clifford E. Taylor passed away in 1996.

Carol Techau, 71, of Mattoon, Illinois, passed away 4 June. She was a retired minister and chaplain, serving in Illinois and on the Asia-Pacific Region. She is survived by her husband, retired minister, evangelist, and missionary Joseph Techau, who served in Illinois.
