by | 05 Aug 2016

Former Point Loma Nazarene University track & field student-athlete Jordan Mageo will represent the university and American Samoa at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.

Mageo, who was a member of the Sea Lions' track & field team as a freshman in 2016, will compete in the prelims of 100-meter dash on August 12 at 11:55 a.m. (PST). The next rounds of the event will be later that day and on August 13.

The San Diego native attended Scripps Ranch High School, where she earned four letters in track & field. Mageo competed in nine meets with PLNU this year. She ran both the 100m and 400m hurdles, in addition to competing in the high jump, long jump, shot put, and javelin throw.

She will be one of four athletes representing American Samoa and the only PLNU Sea Lion at the 2016 Olympic Games.
