Natanael Picavea

Serving in MAR Central | Mesoamerica

Natanael grew up as a missionary kid in Central America. While his family lived in Guatemala, he served as a volunteer in communications starting in 2003.  He worked in different events and activities and developed a love for the ministry.

 

In 2006 he entered the university in Guatemala to study Social Communications and Radio and TV Productions.  At the same time he worked in various national media outlets.  In 2011, after graduation from the university, he was called to serve as a regional missionary in the Communications Ministry in San Jose, Costa Rica.  Later, in 2014, he was called to serve as a Specialized Assignment Missionary for the Church of the Nazarene.

Natanael creció como hijo de misioneros en Centro América. Mientras vivía con su familia en Guatemala sirvió como voluntario en comunicaciones desde el 2003 en diferentes eventos y actividades, desarrollando así su amor por este ministerio.

 

En el 2006 ingresa a la universidad en Guatemala para estudiar comunicación social y producción de radio y TV, al mismo tiempo trabajó en varios medios de comunicación nacionales . En el 2011 luego de graduarse de la universidad fue llamado a servir como misionero regional en el ministerio de comunicaciones en San José, Costa Rica, luego, en el año 2014 a servir como misioneros con Asignación Especial de la Iglesia del Nazareno.

Going Where the Church is Not Yet

Today there are over 4.3 billion people who live in areas where there is little to no gospel witness. 4.3 billion people who have not heard the message of the gospel, who have never heard the name of Jesus. We believe that everyone deserves to hear. God continues to call the Church of the Nazarene to spread the message of the gospel, to preach holiness, and to bring good news to the poor all over the world. The task is enormous; far too big for anyone to do alone, but together we can go where the church is not yet and see people, communities, and nations transformed. Reaching these people begins with one step, a step of obedience and faithfulness that says yes to God’s call. Take your first step and start your journey toward serving in missions today.
