We are privileged to have Roger Finke as our keynote speaker. Dr. Finke is Professor of Sociology and Religious Studies at Pennsylvania State University.
Dr. Finke has authored numerous books and articles. He received the Distinguished Book Award from the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion, 1993, for
The Churching of America, 1776-1990: Winners and Losers in our Religious Economy. In 2001 he received the Distinguished Book Award from the American Sociological Association’s Sociology of Religion Section, 2001, for
Acts of Faith: Explaining the Human Side of Religion.
He serves on the executive council of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion and is president of the Association for the Study of Religion, Economics, and Culture. He is also the director of the Association of Religion Data Archives which provides free access to quality data on religion.
