The Participation Index is a combination of number of members, average Sunday morning worship attendance, and average Sunday school attendance. Each of these three indicators is given equal weight in constructing the index.

The Participation Index did not changed from 2006 to 2007. This index has increased 11% since 1980 and 5% since 1990. However, it has changed very little in the last ten years.

Membership is up 32% over the 1980 level and 13% since 1990. There has been a steady upward trend of increased numbers participating in morning worship, with the average attendance up 14% from 1980 and 10% from 1990. However, in each of the last two years attendance has declined very slightly. The average Sunday school attendance trend is gradual decline.
