Women’s Ministries Consortium

As a pre-convention gathering, Women’s Ministries is hosting a Consortium on June 24, 2009. This will be a time to hear from Women’s Ministries across the Church of the Nazarene. There will be small group discussion time and then reporting back to everyone. We’ll also allow time for regional networking.

1. What would a successful Women’s Ministries look like?
2. How important it is for your church to have Women’s Ministries?
3. What are the basic elements of an effective Women’s Ministries?
4. How relevant is the church and Women’s Ministries in helping women live Christian lives?
5. How can Women’s Ministries be more missional?
6. What relationship should Women’s Ministries have with clergywomen? What is Women’s Ministries role in helping congregations understand our Wesleyan perspective on clergywomen? Do congregations and women in particular, understand this perspective? If so, how can it be share with others? If not, what are some effectives means of teaching this perspective?
7. What are the specific issues that Women’s Ministries should provide biblical teaching and discussion opportunities on life issues for women?
