Equipping Christians for ministry in the local church is the mission and objective of Continuing Lay Training (CLT).
CLT provides ministry-oriented training materials for children's workers, Sunday School teachers, and many other areas of lay-based ministry in the local church. Each year, thousands of Nazarene lay people participate in group and individual studies designed to enhance their skills and knowledge in specific ministry avenues.
Continued Lay Training (CLT) provides Worker/Sunday School teacher training for Children, Youth, Adults and Sunday School Superintendents. Each area offers three levels of training: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. Participants completing all three levels in the area of their choice qualify for the Master Teacher Medallion and recognition of their pursuit of this highest level of training offered to lay workers and volunteers in the Church of the Nazarene.
The Church of the Nazarene believes that children are disciples in training, not disciples in waiting.
Children and adults who complete the Children's Bible Quizzing study each year can receive CLT credit for the Bible study. All those who wish to receive credit will need to fill out the
Class Report form. The form can be mailed in or E-mailed to
clt@nazarene.org. For more information contact the CLT office, 17001 Prairie Star Parkway, Lenexa, KS 66220 or call 1-888-243-2767.
