Children's Bible Quizzing 2009-10 Theme for Studies in Joshua, Judges, and Ruth

Embark on “Adventures in the Promised Land” in 2009-2010 as we study the books of Joshua, Judges, and Ruth! We’ll experience several adventures as we follow the journeys of the Israelites and the unlikely “heroes” who brought them closer to God.

How to use the theme:
• Create a bulletin board using “Adventures in the Promised Land” as the title. Include a timeline on the board. During each “Dig Site,” add to the timeline a picture or visual representation of the lesson.

• Decorate your classroom, competition rooms, and district quizzes around the theme. Be sure to use visuals from the lessons.

• Each week, lead children in a game of “Adventures in the Promised Land.” This can be a series of fun games done through mazes, obstacle courses, and other “adventures.”

• Every week, bring a suitcase (Dr. Digalot’s suitcase) to the “Dig Site.” Inside the suitcase, have an object that relates to the week’s study.

• Be creative! There are many ways to use “Adventures in the Promised Land,” Dr. Digalot, his famous suitcase, and Canteen, the camel, in your 2009-10 quiz year.
