Encourage each class to update their Sunday School responsibility list. Be sure names and contact information are correct. Encourage class members to invite absent class members to Sunday School during this emphasis.

Introduce the “Make the Connection with God’s Word” emphasis to the church and to each age Sunday School class. Be sure to tell them about the upcoming 40- Day Listening Journey Through the New Testament emphasis following Easter.

Sponsor an all-church work day. Encourage Sunday School classes to help clean up the church building and grounds, making it attractive for visitors during this emphasis.

During the six weeks of this Sunday School emphasis, plan a few minutes in each week’s worship service to read portions of Psalm 119, which tells of the psalmist’s devotion to God’s Word. This week, read Psalm 119:1-24.
