Celebrate Our Mission: “We are Disciple Makers”

October 26

Emphasize  Sunday School’s role in making Christlike disciples in the nations.

• Add to your growing bulletin board “disciple makers.” Now that your bulletin board is finished, leave it up for a few weeks, as you prepare for the Global Discipleship Summit Nov. 1.

• Encourage each person in the church to answer the questions: “Who is discipling me? Who am I discipling?” In other words, everyone should be learning from someone and teaching someone what it means to follow Christ.

If the Centennial Celebration only looks back at our history, then it has failed. We celebrate 100 years of holiness in the Church of the Nazarene by looking back at our history so we can carry out our mission in the present and future.

This week, emphasize the importance of our response to the mission established a century ago in our present and future disciple-making practices as we carry out the mission of holiness for the next 100 years.
