• Add to your growing bulletin board the word “Compassionate.”
• Suggest the following ways for classes (of all ages) to be involved in compassionate ministries in the community:
• Sponsor a child through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries www.ncm.org.
• Collect donations of clothing or food for the local rescue mission or food pantry.
• Volunteer at the local rescue mission.
• 100 Pennies Collection. Encourage each child to collect 100 pennies and bring them to church on a set date. Use this collection to donate to a needy family or project in your community. This is a great opportunity to teach about the early Nazarene Church’s focus on reaching the poor and needy.
• $100 Project. Identify a $100 offering Centennial project, such as a missions offering or a community project. Encourage each class to participate
