Middendorf Holiness Sermon trains pastors in Philippines

General Superintendents
 Pastors viewed a holiness
message on DVD
A sermon delivered by General Superintendent Jesse C. Middendorf at the Holiness Summit West Conference last September in Colorado Springs, Colorado, has reached across the world to help inspire and train pastors in the Philippines. Twelve Central Visayas District pastors gathered at the Visayan Nazarene Bible College in Cebu City, Philippines, during their first pastors meeting of the new year. Foremost on their agenda was the topic of holiness. To set the stage, the pastors viewed Dr. Middendorf’s Holiness Summit message on DVD.

The message brought a new sense of encouragement among the pastors present in that meeting to revive the holiness proclamation in their pulpits. There was also a sense of realization this revival will start afresh if the message of holiness is fully reflected among the pastors themselves.

Pastor Jerry Tingson said, “I can’t understand why we have lost the passion of proclaiming the message of holiness.” He added, “It seems we are stuck in proclaiming salvation but not giving the full message of salvation, which includes holy living.”

This gathering sealed the beginning of a movement among the pastors of Central Visayas to meet regularly and listen to additional sermons of the Holiness Summit, anticipating the Holy Spirit’s movement to bring revival, starting first among the pastors.
