Recent praise reports and prayer requests from NCN News, Nazarene Missions International, and JESUS Film Harvest Partners include:

PRAISES

JESUS Film - Guatemala

"I suffered from a disease, and nothing worked," said a Guatemalan viewer. "Then I was invited to see the JESUS film and gave my heart to Christ. The team members began to pray for me, and God healed me completely! I praise and glorify Him."

JESUS Film - Peru

"My husband left to form another family," shared Elita from Peru. "My daughter became very sick. I knew I had to change something in my life. One day, I saw the JESUS film playing close to my house and went to watch. When the team came to visit me, I was encouraged and decided to turn to Christ. Now, my daughter is better and I serve the Lord with all my heart!"

JESUS Film - Sri Lanka

"The area is beautiful, but the people are poor," said a team leader in Sri Lanka. "In this area, two groups live together. Both groups lack sufficient resources to live, however, the people are receptive to the Word of God. A friend told us of a place we could present the JESUS film. Many adults and children attended. Following the presentation, there were many questions. The people asked us to return again to show the film. Join with us in prayer for these people to come to know Jesus in their lives."

PRAYER REQUESTS

Pakistan Cases

Pray with our leaders in Pakistan as they fight false cases brought against them. They have come a long way, but a few cases still need to be won. The team desires to focus solely on ministry and ask for your prayers that remaining litigation will be settled soon.

Places of Worship Needed

In Nepal, Nazarene congregations are in need of places to worship after the ones they rented were destroyed in the April earthquake. Pray for the Greenland Church of the Nazarene in Makalbari, Kathmandu, and the Prerana Church of the Nazarene in Gatthaghar, Bhaktapur. The need is urgent, and finding a place for church activities is difficult.

Venezuela Floods

Flooding has left cities in Venezuela under water. The situation in the city of Guasdualito is severe, with water levels passing that of previous floods. The city of Amparo has also been affected. The church has been mobilized to assist in different ways (food, water, medication, clothing, bedding, etc.). Pray for the people who are suffering loss because of the floods. HEALTH-RELATED REQUESTS

Jubilee and His Mom

Pray for the Myanmar Yangon Zone Coordinator and District Missions Coordinator Jubilee Thanga and his mother. Pastor Jubilee’s mother was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and it has been determined that Pastor Jubilee is the best match for a partial liver donation. The pastor says, "Our prayer is that Jesus will be glorified throughout our critical situation."

Pastor James (Jim) Scharn

On July 9, Pastor James (Jim) Scharn, team leader and senior pastor for the La Verne, California, Community Church of the Nazarene, was injured in a fall on a Work & Witness trip to Nazarene Theological College-Brisbane. Scharn underwent surgery on his upper right femur, and by July 12, he was up and walking.
