Ministering to the Mosiacs
One-third of the world’s population is under the age of 18. There are 73 million
children in the United States in this group. These are the kids born since 1988. Some call
them gen y, while others call them the millennials. George Barna calls them mosaics
because they are a little bit of everything in every aspect of life. Picture with me a stained
glass window in a church sanctuary. It is a glass mosaic made up of many shapes, sizes,
and colors. Some artist with painstaking precision crafted it from many diverse pieces
into a beautiful picture. It is the same with the mosaic generation. They are so diverse in
the way they look and think. However, their lives can become beautiful pictures through
love and nurture. God can work through you and me to help mold these kids into His
