The Tumble-READ Project

• Kids can make a rootin' tootin' difference in the lives of children who live in other parts of the world through the Kids Reaching Kids 2007 VBS Mission Offering Project. It is entitled The Tumble-READ Project.
  
  
• There are places in the world where children never hear the name Jesus Christ or know how He came to earth to save us from our sins. However, it doesn't have to stay that way! When kids give money to The Tumble-READ Project, they can change the lives of children who live in difficult-to-reach areas of the world.
  
  
• The money will be used to translate discipleship materials such as Bibles or My Best Friend, Jesus booklets into other languages. That way, kids can hear and respond to the Good News of God's awesome love for the WHOLE world!

PIONEER VBS PROGRAM

The Pioneer VBS program is designed to assist churches that cannot purchase VBS materials in a given year. Several years ago, Kids Reaching Kids made it a priority to help provide resources to churches that could not otherwise afford the VBS ministry to children. Over the years, the Pioneer VBS Program has provided many churches with VBS materials and curriculum, made possible by support of Kids Reaching Kids. EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

The money raised through Kids Reaching Kids also impacts the lives of 10 international pastors' children each year by contributing to their educational expenses. Since 1991, Kids Reaching Kids has played a significant role in helping dozens of children receive a quality education. Over the years, children from Kenya to Guatemala have received financial assistance for their schooling.

PUBLICITY EXPENSES

A minimal amount of money is invested to provide the necessary publicity material for the Kids Reaching Kids project. These items include the Kids Reaching Kids website, a Mission Offering Project promotional poster and interactive DVD. Click Here to request a free poster and DVD.

Help Your Kids Catch the Vision!

Challenge your kids to get involved with The Tumble-READ Project. Help them understand they can have a big impact in the world through the VBS Mission Offering Project. Kids are concrete thinkers, so they understand what they can touch, taste, feel, see, and hear. Here are a few ways to get kids excited about giving their money to reach other kids.

Poster & DVD
Use The Tumble-READ Project promotional poster and way cool DVD presentation to get kids interested and excited about the 2007 mission project. Place the poster in your narthex, outside a Sunday School room, or children's worship chapel. Make sure it is in an area where both children and adults can view it. Play the DVD during morning services and at VBS (or all summer long) to give everyone a glimpse of your vision! Click here to request a free poster and DVD.

Kids Leading Worship
Collaborate with the rest of the pastoral staff to allow kids to lead worship on a Sunday morning. Have the pastor preach a sermon prepared for children. Allow the kids to participate in areas of music, greeting and reading scripture. Challenge the congregation with The Tumble-READ Project. Designate a portion of the morning's offering for your VBS mission project.

M & M's for Missions
Give each child a mini M & M's container, filled with candy, of course. Once the candy is gone, these containers make great banks. Develop a list of activities kids can do at home, such as taking out the trash or helping with the dishes. Work in cooperation with their parents, and ask them to give their children a quarter for each task they complete. Most banks hold approximately 13 dollars in quarters. Many children will fill their banks quickly and come back for new ones.

Colorful Competition
Friendly competition can always help promote the VBS offering. Place the kids into color designated groups. For example, all the kindergarten and preschool kids could be the Purple group. The elementary kids, being larger in size, would be divided into four groups, Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue. As you collect the offering, track the amount given by each team. Use PowerPoint to create a large graph to visually show the progress the kids are making. On the last day of VBS you can give the winning team an Agape Springs Water Co. Official Water Bottle. Largest VBS Offering in History!

Children's Ministries announces the largest amount ever collected for the VBS Mission Offering! In 2006, VBS kids made a big difference in the lives of AIDS orphans in Africa. The 2006 Kids Reaching Kids VBS Mission Offering Project was entitled ACTION AFRICA: Giving Hope to AIDS Orphans.

Thanks to kids who gave their money to the Kids Reaching Kids worldwide network, $336,044 was raised for ACTION AFRICA, an increase of 28% over the 2005 project, Mission H2O! In the past two years, the Kids Reaching Kids network has generated over a half million dollars to benefit kids who need to know that God loves them with an everlasting love.
