Jack Eugene Shankel, 90, of Sunbury, Ohio, passed away on 6 August 2023. He was a retired district superintendent who led the Maine District (1971-1988) and the Northwestern Ohio District (1988-1998).

Maine elects new superintendent

General Superintendent David W. Graves announced the election of Stephen Dillman as superintendent of the Maine District. Elected 19 May on the first ballot, Dillman replaces Cecil Jones, who spent nearly 15 years in the position. Dillman is currently the director of Church Relations at Eastern

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
