When the Sierra Centro District of Ecuador was at a crossroads with its soccer program, a phone call from a woman in the community set the course for what has now become Nazareno Sporting Club.

In 2023, a significant milestone in the leadership of NYI Peru was established. The first National Leadership Summit occurred, "Flight 28:19," from 29 June to 1 July in Chiclayo. A Maximum Mission project and the district camps followed the summit.

A meeting of the regional team of the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) and Child Sponsorship, with representatives from all over South America, was held in Rio de Janeiro from 13-15 July.

Elton Wood, 97, of Riverside, Rhode Island, passed away on 22 June 2023. He was a retired minister, evangelist, and missionary who served in Cabo Verde and Brazil for 40 years.

Multiple Churches of the Nazarene in Paraguay participated in a national communications congress from 12-14 May designed to activate the creative capacity of the churches.

More than 70 young people attended the 2023 Generation Revival, held 19 April, thanks to the support of the Tierra de Gracia Church of the Nazarene. The event was titled Raising the Altar, had music led by Nikao Band, and Nixon Arteaga shared the word of God

A nationwide emphasis called Returning to the Family Altar in Venezuela stressed the importance of families coming together to share the Word of God and prayer in their homes and highlighted 60 days of family prayer.

Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*.

The fourth national meeting of Nazarene Missions International in Brazil was held 14-16 April 2023 under the theme Até que todos ouçam (Until everyone hears). The event was attended by 180 missions leaders.
