Church celebrates 100-year anniversary

San Juan Chamelco, Guatemala

(Church of the Nazarene Mesoamerica, 1 July) The Church of the Nazarene in San Juan Chamelco, Guatemala, celebrated their 100th anniversary from 28 June to 1 July. 

District Superintendent Francisco H. Cho and General Superintendent Gustavo A. Crocker were among the those who preached during the celebration.

The closing ceremony took place at Fernando Romeo L. García Stadium, with as many as 5,000 people attending.

Saipan hosts women's retreat

Saipan, Micronesia

(Church of the Nazarene Asia-Pacific, 5 July) The island of Saipan in Micronesia hosted a women’s retreat this June.

Led by Laura Smith, the event theme was "Seaside Escape,” and the focus of the retreat was on taking rest in God, allowing people to focus attention on God and learn to rest.
