New district superintendent appointed for Pittsburgh

by | 09 Jun 2017

General Superintendent David W. Graves announced the appointment of Daniel Eddings as superintendent of the Pittsburgh District

Eddings pastors the Endicott, New York, Community Church of the Nazarene. He will be installed during the 7-8 July assembly and begin his new assignment 1 August.

"I am humbled by this appointment and even a little shocked," Eddings said. "I am thankful for the faithfulness of God in the past and continue to trust as He leads, guides, directs, and empowers me for this new assignment. I am looking forward to getting to know the people of the Pittsburgh District, as well as working together with them to continue to see God's kingdom built."

The Pittsburgh District is currently led by Interim Superintendent Kenneth Mills, who was appointed after J. Bret Metcalfe resigned in November 2016 to return to pastoral ministry.

Eddings began pastoring the Endicott church in 2004. He previously led the Springfield, Massachusetts, Church of the Nazarene from 1992 to 2004 and served as associate/youth pastor at St. Paul's Church of the Nazarene in Duxbury, Massachusetts, from 1986 to 1992.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Eastern Nazarene College and is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation program at Nazarene Theological Seminary.

Dan and his wife, Deb, reside in Endicott, New York.
