Flags of the Nations: Argentina

Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*.

Greg Hephner

Remembering Gregory Hephner

Gregory Hephner, 59, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away 21 February 2024. He was a member of the General Board of the Church of the Nazarene, elected in June 2023. He passed just six weeks after receiving a glioblastoma diagnosis.

Esther Carson Translation Center brings essential material to indigenous Nazarenes in Peru

The newly created Esther Carson Translation Center in Peru recently completed its first project: translating the Local and District Government section of the Manual of the Church of the Nazarene and other material into the native Awajún language spoken by the Aguaruna tribe.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
