Brazil retreat brings youth to Christ

The Central de Americana Church of the Nazarene in São Paulo, Brazil, hosted a youth retreat 1-5 March. More than 150 youth participated in the retreat that offered prayer, consecration, praise and worship, and devotionals.

The retreat focused on youth identity, purpose, and the love of God. Over the course of the week, the leadership emphasized the importance of daily decisions and their eternal impact.

Ten youth accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and many more restored their faith in response to the message.

“In the midst of a generation that lives without motivation, without purpose, without joy, clinging to things in vain, these Nazarene youth were challenged to live the purpose of God for their lives,” said Fabio Canellato, Central de Americana church youth pastor. “We praise God for all the blessings and renewals received and for being called by God to be committed to the Great Commission.”

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
