Tell THE Story reaches 62 at MVNU

Tell THE Story reaches 62 at MVNU

by | 05 Aug 2015

A week of Tell THE Story training was held on the campus of Mount Vernon Nazarene University July 20 through 24. Sixty-two attendees, including ministers and laity, came from 14 states and Canada to learn a discipling method that helps individuals present the Bible in a way that is simple to receive, remember, and retell. Through sharing Bible stories, storytellers and listeners find themselves within the story, relating to God and discovering new truths.

Comments from participants included renewed, empowered, revived my heart, engaging, opened up possibilities, challenged, meaningful, inspirational, encouraged, and life-changing. One trainee said, “It opened up possibilities for discipleship and evangelism that I had never even considered.” And another stated, “It’s changing 40 years of my way of thinking and it’s great!”

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
