Paraguay Youth Camp

The Nazarene youth of Paraguay participated in a nationwide camp from 28-30 January with "Prevail" as its theme.

This was their first camp in two years, because COVID-19 prevented it from being held. Over 100 youth and children from the three districts (South, Central, and North) made their way to the camp in Encarnación, Paraguay.

"It was my first camp, and I can say that it was one of the best experiences I lived in my life," said Monse, a camp attendee. "For me, it was a great blessing. You could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in that place."

The camp theme was born out of the need for young people to make a commitment to God. For three days, the youth heard messages and participated in activities, challenging them to commit and let the Lord prevail in their lives.

Mercedes Villalva, youth coordinator of the Central District, commented:

"I once heard a person say that Paraguay is a dry bone cemetery. I always rejected those words, and I trusted that one day we will get up. This was an event organized by the leadership in Paraguay, totally different and with a lot of love in the service of our powerful God and neighbor."
