Comprehensive biblical learning is a core principle for Christlike discipleship. Jesus placed a high priority on teaching his disciples from the Scriptures. The knowledge of the Scriptures combined with Jesus’ instructions shaped their knowledge of God and the work of the Holy Spirit.

Since knowing God’s Word is essential to being a Christlike disciple, a fruitful discipleship journey requires Comprehensive Biblical Learning.

For teachers and parents, it is easier to tell children what to do than to guide them in making a choice. However, this creates teens and young adults who fail to make good choices, because they have always depended on others to make decisions for them.

As I think about disability ministry, the first thing that comes to mind is “why.” Why does this ministry matter so much that the church has dedicated the resources to build it up? Why does it matter that we turn our attention to disability ministries?
