Nazarene Theological College South Africa is charged with training and preparing pastors for the Africa South Field. Recently, security risks havee continued to get in the way of that missions. Located on fourty-three acres in a rural area, and with very few people are on the premises during school break, theft and vandalism have escalated. While school is set to resume soon, the small number of persons on site still leaves us at risk.
Some security issues are tied to our electrical infastructure. We are currently without electricity in our working spaces - office, library, kitchen. Critical electrical cables have been badly damaged (on multiple occasions) by thieves. As a result, the electric security fence is not operational. To repair the electrical issues without securing the premises is likely to result in further damage.
There is much time and energy expended in attempting to provide a secure living and working environment. However, there are no discretionary funds available to provide adequate security which will facilitate carrying forward with the school's mission. NTC is also in danger of losing more faculty and staff due to security concerns. NTC firmly believes that God has a purpose and a mission for NTC South Africa as they seek to expand their scope in meeting the needs for pastoral and leadership training on the field.
