Nazarene Youth International (NYI) began its day bright and early to launch into the third plenary session of this year's General Assembly.

Following reports and business, Global NYI revealed its plans for the 2025 Third Wave Leadership Conference, which will held in Florida, USA. Each field will be eligible to bring five emerging leaders between the ages of 18 and 29.

Beginning in 2004, NYI has hosted five Third Wave leadership conferences. The first event was held in Quito, Ecuador (South America Region) followed by Johannesburg, South Africa (Africa Region), Bangkok, Thailand (Asia-Pacific Region), San Jose, Costa Rica (Mesoamerica Region), and most recently, Hyderabad, India (Eurasia Region) in 2019.

During the morning sessions of the plenary, the regional reports continued, and the convention heard from Janary Suyat (Asia-Pacific Region), Shaun Bati (Africa Region), Christiano Malta (South America Region), and Benjamin Soria (Mesoamerica Region). All regional youth coordinators shared about a value that is key to the ministry amongst their young people, giving many insights on which the delegates could reflect.

The Africa Region focused on purpose, and Bati shared, "The purpose of our very existence is embedded in our daily walk with Jesus. Find God, find your purpose."

Each report was also accompanied by a response video from the highlighted region, showcasing the diverse creativity of the young people whom these leaders represent.

"Today's session was very informative and it reassured us that we must live with purpose, compassion, and honor to be good stewards of Christ in the world," said Daunte Harvey, Barbados District NYI president.

Following the business meetings, NYI hosted a Centennial Celebration event, recognizing the past 100 years of Nazarene Youth International. In addition to enjoying music, cake, and photo booths, young people shared stories about NYI's impact on their lives.
