by | 22 Apr 2016

General Superintendent Eugénio R. Duarte announced the election of Benjamín López as superintendent of the Southwest Latin American District.

Elected April 16 on the first ballot, López replaces C. Alberto Guang, who was appointed to the position in 2012.

López currently pastors the Vida Abundante Church of the Nazarene in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He will begin his new assignment May 16.

"God's miracles and surprises never end," López said.

In addition to serving the Las Cruces congregation for nearly 20 years, López pastored the Tucson West Church of the Nazarene.

Benjamín and his wife, Sandra, reside in Las Cruces.
