Terms of Use for NAZARENE.ORG

 

The Terms of Use that follow govern access to and use of the websites of Church of the Nazarene, Inc., otherwise known as NAZARENE.ORG. The term NAZARENE.ORG refers to any of the websites owned or operated by Church of the Nazarene, Inc. By accessing or using NAZARENE.ORG, you agree to follow and to be legally bound by these Terms of Use.

 

 

Privacy

 

The Church of the Nazarene, Inc. recognizes the privacy concerns of users of NAZARENE.ORG and the importance of protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information collected from them. As a general policy, no personally identifiable information, such as a visitor’s name, address, email address, telephone number, IP address, or credit card information is automatically collected on our website. Such information is collected only when knowingly and voluntarily submitted, and the Church of the Nazarene, Inc. uses such information only for the purpose for which it was submitted, unless we disclose other uses in these Terms of Use or at the time of collection. We do not give, sell, trade, or rent any personally identifiable information on a visitor to any third party, except where necessary to serve the needs of that visitor. On joining our community, you may receive periodic newsletters sent to the email address you provide. You may unsubscribe after you receive your first newsletter.

The Church of the Nazarene, Inc. grants a non-exclusive license to recognized Nazarene churches to use the Church of the Nazarene, Inc. trademarks, service marks, logos and graphics displayed on NAZARENE.ORG for affiliation and promotional purposes only. The use of these items by churches for commercial purposes or for any other event or purpose is not authorized. Trademarks, service marks, logos and graphics displayed on NAZARENE.ORG may not be changed, edited, modified, contextualized, or translated without the prior written consent of the Church of the Nazarene, Inc.

 

 

Linking Policy

 

NAZARENE.ORG may be linked to or from other websites that are not operated by the Church of the Nazarene, Inc. or any of its affiliates. The Church of the Nazarene, Inc. is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third party websites. NAZARENE.ORG may also be linked to websites operated by organizations affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene, Inc. Visitors to those websites should refer to their separate terms of use.

Any information found in the “Find a Church” section is official information of the Church of the Nazarene, Inc. If you find the information displayed in the “Find a Church” section for a church to be inaccurate or outdated or if you need to add, update, or edit any information about a church as listed, please contact the Web Development Office by email or at the address below.

 

 

Forums, Chats & Blogs – Rules and Membership Agreement

 

Registration for these online communities and applications is free.

 

No soliciting or advertising of personal or corporate services or ventures is allowed.

 

Although the administrators and moderators will attempt to keep all objectionable messages out of these applications, it is impossible for us to review all postings. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the Church of the Nazarene, Inc. nor its service providers will be held responsible for the content of any message. We desire the content placed on these forums, chats, or blogs be positive and uplifting.

 

Negative rhetoric regarding other denominations or other religions is not welcome as it is not conducive our mission, “to make Christlike disciples in the nations.” Our evangelistic efforts spread far and wide around the world, and our efforts to reach people for Christ could be compromised by undue criticism toward other people groups or religions. All content should be non-political in nature.

 

By agreeing to these Terms of Use, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually oriented, hateful, threatening, or violative of any laws. The Church of the Nazarene, Inc. reserves the right to remove, edit, move, or close any threads or posts for any reason. Any person may be banned from the communities without warning, for any reason.

The exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any legal proceedings relating to these Terms of Use or to NAZARENE.ORG or transactions or activity conducted on or relating to NAZARENE.ORG will be the appropriate state or federal courts in Johnson County, Kansas; you consent to such jurisdiction and venue and waive all objections to proceedings in such courts based on jurisdiction, venue or inconvenience of the forum.
