The Africa Region recently announced two new district superintendents: Leholohonolo Michael Oliphant for the Lesotho District and Vincent Peter Maholobela for the Eastern South Africa District.

Oliphant is the pastor of the Shalom Church of the Nazarene in Lesotho. He received his theological education through Nazarene Theological College – Lesotho Extension School. He was ordained as an elder on 23 October 2021.

He currently works at Mission Aviation Fellowship as a flight scheduler and serves as the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries country coordinator.

Oliphant was born in Mohale’s Hoek (Lesotho). He is married to Matsepiso Oliphant and has two children, Tsepiso and Thato.

Maholobela accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Savior in 1986 while attending the Cottondale Church of the Nazarene. He has served as a church board member, Nazarene Youth International president, and Sunday school in addition to other roles on the district.

He attended Nazarene Extension School of Theology, where he obtained a diploma in theology. He began pastoring Cottondale Church of the Nazarene in 2004, where he currently serves. In January 2010, he was ordained as an elder at Thulamahashe Church of the Nazarene.

He also holds a diploma in teaching from Tivumbeni College of Education, a diploma in educational management from the University of Johannesburg, and an honors degree in law and policy from the University of Pretoria.

He is married to Thembisile Maholobela, and they have three daughters, Hlengiwe, Obey, and Hlawulekani.

The Africa Region welcomes both Oliphant and Maholbela to their new positions of leadership and requests prayer for them as they lead their districts.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
