New Mexico District elects Larry Lacher as DS

Lawrence “Larry” Lacher was elected 22 June as the New Mexico district superintendent. Larry is currently serving at Roswell First Church of the Nazarene in New Mexico, a position he has held since 2014.

Lacher’s new assignment will be made effective 22 July. He is replacing Ken Yocom, who has served as the interim district superintendent since February.

Before serving in New Mexico, Lacher pastored churches in Texas and Illinois. He has also taught at several institutions, including Nazarene Bible College, Point Loma Nazarene University, Olivet Nazarene University, and Africa Nazarene University

He received his Bachelor of Arts from Trevecca Nazarene College (now University) and his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Nazarene Theological Seminary. In 2011, Lacher received a Doctor of Philosophy from Concordia Seminary.

Larry and his wife, Lisa, currently live in Roswell, New Mexico.
