Prayer requested for Chuuk following Super Typhoon Maysak

Prayer requested for Chuuk following Super Typhoon Maysak

by | 02 Apr 2015

The Asia-Pacific Region received the following update April 1 from Pastor Larry Cornett of Guam First Church of the Nazarene regarding Micronesia following Super Typhoon Maysak:

Please pray for Pastor Richard Sulatra, our Nazarene church families, and all of those in Chuuk as they recover from the devastating effects of Super Typhoon Maysak that hammered those islands last Sunday afternoon.

Pastor Sulatra reports that our church there sustained some damage to the roof, windows were broken out, and everything inside got wet. He is not able to check on all of his church members as the power is still out on the islands.

Please pray for God to be with the people of Chuuk as they try to clean up and rebuild. Five people lost their lives on the island due to this typhoon. Romans 8:28 comes into play here.Thank you for your prayers.

The Cameroon flag is a vertical tricolor of green, red and yellow, defaced with a five-pointed star in its center. The center stripe is thought to stand for unity: red is the colour of unity, and the star is referred to as "the star of unity." The yellow stands for the sun and also the savannas in the northern part of the country, while the green is for the forests in the southern part of Cameroon.
